Antalya, Turkey – Alejandro Pedryc captured the 2026 Golf Mad Challenge with a total score of seven under par. The Pole prevailed by a single stroke on a dramatic final day, finishing ahead of Velten Meyer (Germany), Koen Kouwenaar (Netherlands) and Louis Bonte (France).
It could hardly have been more dramatic: In significantly windier conditions than in the previous rounds, the title at the picturesque coastal venue of Lykia Links was decided in a four-way battle during the third and final round of the Golf Mad Challenge 2026. Kouwenaar, winner of the 2024 Staan Open, his playing partner Bonte, and Germany’s Velten Meyer – who had posted the day’s best round of 68 – were already in the club-house hoping for a playoff. But it was not to be. In the final group, Pedryc holed his birdie putt on the closing par 4 and only realized, from his caddie’s reaction, that the stroke meant his first title on the Pro Golf Tour.
“I’m still trying to process it,” admitted the 24-year-old, who recovered from four con-secutive bogeys early in the round to sign for a 70. “The start wasn’t great, but I knew those holes would be difficult for me with the crosswind. I stayed patient and didn’t do anything crazy. For me, it already feels like a victory to be back in contention after the disappointments of recent times. I’ve invested a lot in golf throughout my life and some-times felt I hadn’t gotten much back. That’s why this feels so good.”

Hot Putter the Key to Victory
The long hitter, who played college golf in Texas and Mississippi, was particularly proud of his performance on the greens. “My putting was the key to success. It was pheno-menal all three days. Normally, putting isn’t necessarily my greatest strength, but today it saved me. Without good putting you don’t win tournaments; you might make the cut, but you don’t contend for the title.”
The Warsaw native was also impressed by the demanding layout on Turkey’s Mediter-ranean coast. “What I especially like is the design: it feels naturally embedded in the landscape, not artificially forced into it. It tests every part of your game – length off the tee, iron play and nerve. From the back tees, you could even host a U.S. Open here.”
Bekir Kara, Managing Director of title sponsor Golf Mad Travel & Events, also drew a thoroughly positive conclusion from the two opening events in Belek: “I am convinced the players were able to fully enjoy the pleasant weather, the spectacular venue and Turkish hospitality. This event is of enormous importance for golf in Turkey as well as for our players. We are already very much looking forward to continuing next year.”
In the Order of Merit, Dutchman Dario Antonisse, winner of the 2026 Golf Mad Open, remains in the lead ahead of Alejandro Pedryc. Clement Guichard, Velten Meyer and Koen Kouwenaar complete the top five.
The Pro Golf Tour now moves on to Egypt. Starting March 10, the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Open and the Red Sea Egyptian Classic will be staged back-to-back at Golf Club Ain Sokhna.
