Agadir/Morocco – „I’m very happy but also pretty exhausted! The heat was enormous, but I’m really glad I could pull through this time!“ Jubilanting Nicolai von Dellingshausen received the compliments from his competitors and celebrated his first victory on the Pro Golf Tour. In February the German finished as shared second at the Open The Tony Jacklin, as he was beaten in a four-man-playoff. This time he managed to leave the course as the winner. The foundation for his success was set on day 1 where his precise drives and perfect iron-shots made him score many birdies, so he could sign a 64 at the end of the round. „That was probably the best round I’ve ever played so far“, von Dellingshausen said. Nine times the 24-year-old played birdie at one one bogey.

The fight against the burning Morroccan sun von Dellingshausen could stand with a 73, which made him retain the lead by one stroke advantage towards Austrian Berni Reiter. On the final day he played very solid golf and at least after his birdie on hole 17 von Dellingshausen knew that he’d win. „It’s a lot of fun playing on the Pro Golf Tour! It’s fantastic to finish the Morocco series as a tournament winner on this amazing course“, the champion said.

Wildcard for Dylan Boshart

Even though he finished on rank two, it must have felt like a victory for Dylan Boshart: As the most successfull player of the Pro Golf Tour Morocco series this season  the Dutchman receives a wildcard for the Trophée Hassan II (13. – 16. April). The European Tour event in Rabat includes prize money of 2.5 million Euros. The Pro Golf Tour pauses until April 26, as the first round of the Haugschlag NÖ Open 2017 in Austria takes place.
