Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle postponed:

Due to the continuing threat posed by the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) the Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle, originally scheduled from April 28-30, will be postponed. The tournament is now scheduled to take place from September 8-10 at Golfresort Haugschlag in Austria. The decision to postpone the Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle follows consultation with Golfresort Haugschlag and was made with public health and well-being as absolute priority. The Pro Golf Tour will continue to evaluate all aspects of the 2020 schedule and discussions on the rescheduling of postponed events will remain ongoing until there is clarity on the global situation.

As already announced on March 16, all four Morocco tournaments not yet played were postponed due to Corona. A date for these tournaments has not yet been scheduled.

Season 2018 tees off in Egypt and Morocco

New Pro Golf Tour season

Traditionally the new Pro Golf Tour season will start in Egypt: In Ain Sokhna on the shores of the Red Sea players will compete at the Red Sea Egyptian Classic and the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Classic in January and play for prize money and ranking list points. In February, April and March the calendar is continued in Morocco with another seven events.

Egypt/Morocco − The Pro Golf Tour will start the new tournament season at the fabulous Sokhna Golf Club in Egypt. The Red Sea Egyptian Classic (16th to 18th January 2018) and the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Classic (22nd to 24th January 2018) will open the 2018 season. And both tournaments at the magical Sokhna Golf Club are in any case far more than just a sporting benchmark: they are the basis for promotion, the golfers lay the foundation stone there for the rest of the entire season. It’s therefore not surprising that the starting places which are limited to 96 due to daylight are highly sought after.

The challenging par 72 golf course demands a broad variety of skills and only the best players come out on top. And all action is taking place in front of stunning scenery: lakes and streams run through the course, palm trees line the banks and fairways and the Red Sea is always present on the horizon. The club’s 27 fairways are combined into two completely individual courses for each of the two events.

The registration deadline for both events, each endowed with 30.000 Euro prize money and 30.000 points for the Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit, is the 14th of December 2017.
