Just one week after the nerve-wracking season finale at Castanea Golf Resort, the 2025 Pro Golf Tour year ends with another highlight: 178 golfers took part in the nerve-wracking Q-School in Holledau and Fleesensee to secure the best possible category for the coming season. Over 36 holes, they competed in parallel on the Engel & Völkers Course at Fleesensee Golf Club and on the Holledau golf course for the big goal – a place in the top ten and thus a category 5 tour card.

Eisenbeis benefits from knowledge of the course
At the Fleesensee Golf Club in the Mecklenburg Lake District, 23-year-old Frederik Eisenbeis celebrated a start-to-finish victory. The player from Marienburger GC got off to an ideal start in the 36-hole tournament with a 66 (-6) in the first round. “That was a very good start,” admitted Eisenbeis, who only turned professional a few weeks ago. On the second day, he was in danger of quickly squandering his good starting position. However, after two bogeys at the start, he fought his way back and secured his tour card at the Fleesensee Q-School with a 71 (-1).

“I'm really happy to have secured my card for the Pro Golf Tour,” Eisenbeis said afterwards.
“The Pro Golf Tour is a good springboard for young golfers to work their way up.” He owes this opportunity in part to his experience on the Fleesensee course: “The course is very beautiful. I played here about six years ago for the Länderpokal. That's why I already knew it. It's a wonderful facility with great training opportunities.” Luxembourg's Charles Weis finished one stroke behind Eisenbeis.

Another start-to-finish victory
The Holledau Golf Course in Hallertau also saw a start-to-finish victory. After shooting a 65 (-5) on the first day, Frenchman Guillaume Chevalier went into the final round as the leader. He defended his lead there, despite recording three bogeys on his first nine holes, with a 69 (-1). “I'm very happy,” said the 27-year-old player from the Aix-Marseille Golf Club. “The course had a nice layout and was in good condition. The organization was also good. Many thanks also to the spotters on the golf course.”

This success is something very special. Chevalier had recently taken a long break from professional golf. “My return to professional golf after three years means a lot to me. It's very satisfying to come back this way.” A few weeks ago, Chevalier competed in the Iron Duke Belgian Open, but missed the cut. From 2026, he will once again have the opportunity to compete on the Pro Golf Tour. Second place in Holledau was shared by Melvin Muller from the Netherlands and Moritz Russling from Austria.

It wasn't just the top ten who secured one of the coveted tour cards: players who finished Q-School in 11th to 30th place (category 8) and 31st to 45th place (category 10) can also look forward to a number of starts in the 2026 season.

After a spectacular end to the season at Fleesensee and Holledau, the Pro Golf Tour is heading into the winter break with plenty of momentum and great anticipation for the 2026 season.
