Veľké Úľany, Slovakia – Dario Antonisse secured his second victory of the season in dramatic fashion at The Sedin Open by On The Tee Slovakia 2026. The Dutchman trailed Germany’s Martin Obtmeier by one shot heading to the final hole, but a birdie on the 18th handed him the title after a thrilling finish at Sedin Golf Resort.
Following a windy second round, scoring conditions improved significantly in the final round, and birdies were once again plentiful on the picturesque course situated along the banks of the Little Danube.
Martin Obtmeier was the first to take advantage. The winner of the 2025 Red Sea Ain Sokhna Open surged to the top of the leaderboard with four birdies between holes eight and fourteen, setting a pace that none of his closest challengers could match for much of the afternoon.
However, momentum shifted late in the round. Obtmeier dropped a shot at the 15th and was unable to birdie the short par-4 16th, opening the door for Antonisse. Starting the day one stroke ahead of the German, the Dutchman responded with birdies at holes 14 and 16 to move back within one shot of the lead heading to the final hole.
Decisive Moments on 18
The short par 4 delivered the decisive twist in the title race. While Obtmeier’s tee shot found the penalty area, Antonisse positioned his ball just long of the green. A well-executed chip set up a closing birdie, while the Bavarian could only manage a bogey.
Antonisse signed for a final-round 70 and finished the tournament at ten under par, enough to secure his second title of the 2026 season.
“I tried to keep things as simple as possible,” Antonisse said about the closing hole. “My focus was on making a good swing and giving myself a chance. I wanted to stay positive, stay clear-minded and focus on every single shot.”
“It feels great to win here,” he added. “I’ve actually been playing quite well over the last few weeks, but I was often missing a couple of shots to really contend. I was close many times. This week a lot of things came together, and that makes this victory very special.”
A key factor behind his success was the consistency of his long game, an area he had recently worked on with his coach.
“With the small technical adjustments we made, everything felt much more comfortable this week. That allowed me to create a lot of opportunities. From tee to green, that was probably the strongest part of my game.”
Pro Golf Tour Debuts in Slovakia
This week marked a milestone for the Pro Golf Tour, as the circuit staged its first-ever tournament in Slovakia. Sedin Golf Resort provided an outstanding venue, with its 18 holes set in a scenic landscape along the Little Danube.
With the support of Martin Šebesta from title sponsor On The Tee Slovakia, the Pro Golf Tour is expected to maintain a presence in Slovakia beyond the current season.
“I didn’t really know what to expect before arriving, but the course was fair, varied and the conditions throughout the week were excellent,” Antonisse said. “Some of the greens were quite challenging. At the same time, it felt like low scores were out there if you played well.”
The victory moves Antonisse to the top of the Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit, overtaking Belgium’s Kristof Ulenaers. The remaining promotion positions are currently occupied by Dutchman Koen Kouwenaar, Poland’s Alejandro Pedryc and Switzerland’s Mauro Gilardi.
The Pro Golf Tour now heads to Austria for the Raiffeisen Pro Golf Tour St. Pölten, which begins on 2 June at Golfclub St. Pölten, approximately two hours from the Slovakian venue.
