And one of them really made it! Sami Välimäki, four time winner of the 2019 Pro Golf Tour, finished T8 at the FINAL STAGE tournament of the Qualifying School of the European Tour and therefore secured himself one of 25 tickets for the 2020 European Tour.
Tarragona/Spain – Sami Välimäki, who had won four tournaments on the 2019 Pro Golf Tour and had already moved up directly to the Challenge Tour after three victories, shot rounds of 67, 68, 73, 65, 68 and 72 in Tarragona in Spain where the Final Stage of the 2019 Qualifying School was held on the Lakes and on the Hills course of the Lumine Golf Club. This finally was good enough to finish the event in T8 position and to earn playing rights on the European Tour 2020. The top 25 got tickets for the elite league.
Unlucky was Hurly Long who finally had one stroke too many in his books and finished T29. Robbie Van West was T44 after the six round marathon. Both will get the chance to play at least a few tournaments of the 2020 European Tour.
