Lieser & Gautier: Two Champions in Salzkotten

Pro Golf Tour Qualifying School 2015

There were two winners at the Pro Golf Tour Qualifying School for the 2016 season in Salzkotten in Germany: After 36 holes Professional Ondrej Lieser from the Czech Republic and French Amateur Stanislas Gautier shared 1st place on the course of the Golf Club Paderborner Land with 8 under par . The title of the qualifying school tournament was given to both players, Lieser received 600 euros in prize money. Overall, 71 participants earned a so-called category for the 2016 season.

Salzkotten/Germany − Participants fields of the Pro Golf Tour tournaments are determined on a rating system. At those over 20 season tournaments 80 to 156 players take part. In particular spots at tournaments in the beginning of the season are in high demand.

The top 10 of the Qualifying School shall be classified in Category 3 and can safely assume to be able to take part in all tournaments of the year. The Top 40 of the Q-School have with Category 6 also a high starting reliability.

In the two rounds of the Qualifying School in the Golf Club Paderborner Land eleven players secured the classification in category 3, 30 players got a category-6-ticket. Another 41 participants received category 8, as they have completed the qualifying tournament among the top 70.
