El Jadida/Morocco − Carding rounds of 72, 69 and 71 on the par 72 golf course of Pullman El Jadida Royal Golf & Spa in El Jadida 23 year old Stanislas Gautier from Paris finally was way ahead of his fellow countryman Kenny Subregis, runner-up with 1 over par (70, 72, 75). Third place of the 30,000 euro tournament of the Pro Golf Tour was shared by Joel Girrbach from Switzerland and Alexandre Kaleka, another player from France; they both played 3 over par.

Stanislas Gautier from Paris, France, secured himself the first title of his professional career. For his victory in El Jadida the 23-year-old received 5000 Euro prize money and as much ranking points. By that the Frenchman goes straight up the Order of Merit, leaving the 63th position behind and reaching rank 8.

After Gautier had played par on day 1, he soon took the lead from Czech Filip Mruzek after round 2. Mruzek and many other players weren’t able to keep up their game due to heavy wind on the magnificent par-72-course. But Gautier didn’t let himself get distracted by the weather: “When I played at my college in America I had to get used to windy conditions. Now I love it”, Gautier, who’s best result had been a shared 18th rank at the Open Casa Green 2016, said.
On the last day of the tournament Stanislas Gautier was able to defend his lead by playing a 71.

Another French Player finished second: Kenny Subregis from Vieux-Boucau. Having needed two more strokes than Gautier, Subregis was still two hits ahead of his fellow countryman Alexandre Kaleka and Swiss Joel Girbach (both 2 over par).

The next event of the Pro Golf Tour will start soon, as on Thursday in Mohammedia the Open Royal Golf Anfa Mohammedia begins. It’ll be the last out of six tournaments the Tour hosts in Morocco this season.
