Update on Upcoming Events in Egypt:

Due to the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region, the Pro Golf Tour is currently reviewing whether the tournaments scheduled to take place in Egypt from 7–14 April 2026 can be held as planned.

The safety and well-being of all players, caddies, officials, and staff remains our highest priority.

At this stage, no final decision has been made. The Pro Golf Tour will make a final decision before the entry deadline on 19 March 2026 and will inform all players immediately once this decision has been taken.

We appreciate your understanding and patience while this evaluation is ongoing.

The April tournaments (7–9 April 2026 and 12–14 April 2026) will be relocated from Cairo to Ain Sokhna, provided that the regional conditions allow the events to take place safely.

Season-start under Egyptian sun

Sokhna Golf Club

Already for the fourth time in a row, the Pro Golf Tour starts its season at the magnificent Sokhna Golf Club in Egypt, only one hour away from Cairo.

The course of the Sokhna Golf Club again hosts two events for the golf stars of tomorrow. While in 2014 the two tournaments had happened in mid-season, the following seasons always started with those high-level contests. In 2015 and 2016 each of the winners in Egypt was able to get a spot on the European Challenge Tour a few months later, in 2017 at least two of them.

It seems likely that the Top 5 of the ranking can already be found at the very beginning of the season in Egypt. If this will also be the case in 2018, nobody can already say. But it’s not that improbable: The magnificent par-72 course requires the participants to play as good as they can. But well ondulated greens, beautiful lakes and the amazing scenery compensate the effort.

The season will start with the Red Sea Egyptian Classic (16. - 18. January) and the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Classic (22. - 24. January).
