Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle postponed:

Due to the continuing threat posed by the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) the Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle, originally scheduled from April 28-30, will be postponed. The tournament is now scheduled to take place from September 8-10 at Golfresort Haugschlag in Austria. The decision to postpone the Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle follows consultation with Golfresort Haugschlag and was made with public health and well-being as absolute priority. The Pro Golf Tour will continue to evaluate all aspects of the 2020 schedule and discussions on the rescheduling of postponed events will remain ongoing until there is clarity on the global situation.

As already announced on March 16, all four Morocco tournaments not yet played were postponed due to Corona. A date for these tournaments has not yet been scheduled.

Season-start under Egyptian sun

Sokhna Golf Club

Already for the fourth time in a row, the Pro Golf Tour starts its season at the magnificent Sokhna Golf Club in Egypt, only one hour away from Cairo.

The course of the Sokhna Golf Club again hosts two events for the golf stars of tomorrow. While in 2014 the two tournaments had happened in mid-season, the following seasons always started with those high-level contests. In 2015 and 2016 each of the winners in Egypt was able to get a spot on the European Challenge Tour a few months later, in 2017 at least two of them.

It seems likely that the Top 5 of the ranking can already be found at the very beginning of the season in Egypt. If this will also be the case in 2018, nobody can already say. But it’s not that improbable: The magnificent par-72 course requires the participants to play as good as they can. But well ondulated greens, beautiful lakes and the amazing scenery compensate the effort.

The season will start with the Red Sea Egyptian Classic (16. - 18. January) and the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Classic (22. - 24. January).
