Second victory for German Martin Keskari

Praforst Pro Golf Tour Fulda 2015

With an amazing round of 65 Martin Keskari from Frankfurt beat his opponnents and secured himself the win of the Praforst Pro Golf Tour Fulda 2015. After three rounds on the par 72 course of the Hofgut Golfclub Praforst the 23 year-old achieved a total of 16 under par. It is his second victory after winning the Open Samanah 2015 in February. Being rewarded with 5000 points Keskari now is ranked as No. 4 on the Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit. The new leader is Reinier Saxton from the Netherlands who recaptured it from German Philipp Mejow.

Hünfeld / Germany − „This second victory was perfectly timed! “ Martin Keskari took the trophy of the fifteenth tournament in this season and the 5000 Euro prize money, but way more important for the German were the 5000 rankinglist points.

After his victory at the Open Samanah 2015 in Morocco he had played constantly well but he lost his top position in the Order of Merit. At the CEVEE Leather Open four weeks ago he had even missed the cut. “My game was okay but I couldn’t fit with the course”, Keskari said.

Quite unlike the course in Hünfeld: Keskari likes it, knowing it from countless tournaments he had played there in his youth. In Hünfeld he is able to prove his excellent on field-strategy and his skills on big greens. “I putted very well”, Keskari explained after 20 birdies in three rounds. A birdie on hole 18 also secured his victory with a 4 strokes advantage over David Antonelli from France and Austrian Bernard Neumayer.

After 36 holes nine players still had a realistic chance to win, only one to two strokes separated eight players from the leader Reinier Saxton, who had only needed 133 shots (69+64) on the first two days. But Saxton wasn’t able to play better than par in the final round. However, being ranked as shared fourth Saxton recaptured the lead in the Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit from German Philipp Mejow.

But Mejow will have the opportunity to take back again the first place at the Gut Bissenmoor Classic 2015, which will occur at the Golf & Country Club Gut Bissenmoor from July 16 to 18.
